The Director General of the National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN), Ahmed Bolaji Nagode was presented with a special award by Students' Coalition Rebirth of Nigeria, Federal University of Technology Minna Chapter, for his outstanding contributions to the development of Power Sector at various levels.
At the special Award presentation ceremony which was held at NAPTIN’s Headquarters recently, the DG expressed appreciation to the Students Union Exco Members for the gesture and urged them to be good ambassadors of the Nation, as the future of any Nation depends on its youths.
He further advised the students not to relent in ensuring that the Nation continues to exist as one where brotherly love is placed above everything else, exhorting them to always embrace hard work and stay away from any form of cultism and vices that is capable of truncating their future ambition.
The Director General also admonished them to take advantage of technology to enhance their Academic and life pursuits, pointing out the importance of being creative and not being dependent on white collar jobs which are almost nonexistent.
Earlier, while addressing the Management Staff of NAPTIN and the Executive Members of the Students Union, the Chairman of the Students' Coalition for Rebirth of Nigeria, Olatunji Dare Emmanuel described the Director General as a Seasoned Administrator, who has contributed immensely to the development of the Power sector at various levels, adding that Nagode is a quintessential icon who displayed rare commitments to the cause of humanity at various spheres of human life, through youths empowerment, philanthropy and contributions towards transformation for good governance. These, according to the Students' Leader are the qualities that qualified the Director General for the Award.
